Both “The Climb” and another song from the movie “HoeDown ThrowDown", (aka Zig-Zag) debut between 7:00-9:40 p.m., ET/PT only on Disney Channel part of Disney Channel's Night Of Stars.

A new episode of "Hannah Montana" (7:30 p.m., ET/PT), will start off the night.

Also there is the premiere of another music video "BBGood", by the Jonas Brothers. The video will premiere at 8:20 p.m., ET/PT.

And... A music video for "3Rs," featuring "Hannah Montana" star and Walt Disney Records recording artist Mitchel Musso from the "School House Rock" DVD, will air at approximately 8:24 p.m., ET/PT.

As some of you may have heard, my partial draft of Midnight Sun was illegally posted on the Internet and has since been virally distributed without my knowledge or permission or the knowledge or permission of my publisher.

I have a good idea of how the leak happened as there were very few copies of Midnight Sun that left my possession and each was unique. Due to little changes I made to the manuscript at different times, I can tell when each left my possession and to whom it was given. The manuscript that was illegally distributed on the Internet was given to trusted individuals for a good purpose. I have no comment beyond that as I believe that there was no malicious intent with the initial distribution.

I did not want my readers to experience Midnight Sun before it was completed, edited and published. I think it is important for everybody to understand that what happened was a huge violation of my rights as an author, not to mention me as a human being. As the author of the Twilight Saga, I control the copyright and it is up to the owner of the copyright to decide when the books should be made public; this is the same for musicians and filmmakers. Just because someone buys a book or movie or song, or gets a download off the Internet, doesn’t mean that they own the right to reproduce and distribute it. Unfortunately, with the Internet, it is easy for people to obtain and share items that do not legally belong to them. No matter how this is done, it is still dishonest. This has been a very upsetting experience for me, but I hope it will at least leave my fans with a better understanding of copyright and the importance of artistic control.

So where does this leave Midnight Sun? My first feeling was that there was no way to continue. Writing isn’t like math; in math, two plus two always equals four no matter what your mood is like. With writing, the way you feel changes everything. If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn’t dovetail too well with the original story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely.

I’d rather my fans not read this version of Midnight Sun. It was only an incomplete draft; the writing is messy and flawed and full of mistakes. But how do I comment on this violation without driving more people to look for the illegal posting? It has taken me a while to decide how and if I could respond. But to end the confusion, I’ve decided to make the draft available here (at the end of this post). This way, my readers don’t have to feel they have to make a sacrifice to stay honest. I hope this fragment gives you further insight into Edward’s head and adds a new dimension to the Twilight story. That’s what inspired me to write it in the first place.

I do want to take a moment and thank the wonderful fans who have been so supportive of me over the past three years. I cannot begin to tell you how much each of you means to me. I only hope this note will stop all the confusion and online speculation so that the Twilight universe can once again become the happy escape it used to be. After this incredibly busy year, I am now focusing on spending more time with my family and working on some other writing projects.

We’ve been hearing rumblings of a “Hairspray” sequel for months. Just last week, director Adam Shankman confirmed that John Waters himself was writing an outline that would take Zac Efron, Queen Latifah and the rest into the late Sixties. Now, MTV has the scoop on all the insanity that could only come from the twisted “Pink Flamingos” mastermind.

“Scott and I are certainly on board,” Oscar-nominated composer/producer Marc Shaiman assured us, saying he’ll once again return with partner Scott Wittman to the musical/movie franchise they helped build from Waters’ 1988 cult film. “John Waters wrote a treatment that is so f–king hysterical!”

Shaiman, Wittman, returning director Adam Shankman and a few others recently read Waters’ outline, and his die-hard fans will be glad to know that the outrageous filmmaker is once again proudly pushing the envelope. “I don’t know how mainstream it would go if he really stuck to his ideas; it would be a real John Waters-style film,” Shaiman explained.

As for the plot, he said: “People hate Tracy (Nikki Blonsky) because she doesn’t lose weight. They ask ‘Now that you’re famous, why won’t you lose weight?’. And Link (Efron) experiments with drugs. Throughout half the movie, he has an ongoing dialogue with three pimples on his forehead.”

“Edna (John Travolta) loses weight, but sees her husband (Christopher Walken) lusting after fat women,” Shaiman laughed, citing one of the musical numbers he’s particularly eager to write. “And so, she finally breaks down and runs over to a snack table. Just within one number, she gets fat again; gaining 20 pounds at a time. [Her fat] pops out, and by the end of the song she’s completely at her old weight again.”

Shaiman, whose hilarious “Prop 8 – The Musical” is currently one of the hottest viral clips on the Internet, said another fun facet of the “Hairspray” sequel will be writing Beatles and Kinks-era tunes to depict Efron’s desire to remain hip during the British Invasion.

“Part of John Waters’ idea is that he gets caught up trying to masquerade himself as a member of the British Invasion,” Shaiman said of Efron. “And it’s wearing that mop-top Beatles hairdo that causes those pimples on his forehead!”

“The Sixties is just the most fantastic era for music, because it was so wide-ranging. I grew up then, and on the radio you’d have Frank Sinatra going into ‘White Rabbit’ by Jefferson Airplane, going into Peggy Lee, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones,” he marveled, hoping that the final script will keep Waters’ crazed vision intact when “Hairspray 2” hits theaters in summer 2010. “There was so many different kinds of music, all on the same radio stations. That’s what’s so great about writing for that era.”

Sonny With A Chance!

Sonny With A Chance stars Demi Lovato, Sterling Knight and Allisyn Arm stand side-by-side in one of the new cast promos just released by Disney.

The trio are joined by fellow actors Tiffany Thorton, Brandon L. Smith and Doug Brochu in the new series set to premiere on Disney Channel in the Spring of 2009. The series follows Sonny Munroe (Lovato) as she gets every girl’s dream come true by getting a starring role on a comedy sketch show, So Random!. TV veteran Nancy McKeon stars as Sonny’s mom, Connie Munroe.

How big would a Megan Fox and Zac Efron romance shake the celebrity world? Another report has trickled out that might have Vanessa Hudgens keeping a close eye on her man. Star has a breathless, “break out the extinguishers, because this couple could be scorching - but they’re both already attached,” report from the November party where it was reported that Megan revealed she had a crush on Zac.

Now Star has this, “Zac Efron and Transformers siren Megan Fox got very flirty at the GQ Men of the Year party on Nov. 18 in L.A. Megan’s fiance, Brian Austin Green, was there, but she ditched him once she saw Zac without girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.

“Megan put her hand on Zac’s cheek and whispered in his ear when the two of the were away from Brian,” an eyewitness tells Star. “They were both laughing and touching. It was clear to everyone they have a lot of chemistry.”
